Welcome!

Around Chesham by Lalage Smyth, former member of the Photography with Digital Imaging Group
Welcome to the website of Chess Valley u3a
Operating in and around Chesham in Buckinghamshire, we offer a wide range of activities for those in their ‘third age’, when they are no longer working full time and are able to pursue other interests. The u3a is a friendly, member-led organisation, run by the members for the members. Our members take part in activities ranging from Art to Wildlife, with books, dinghy sailing, French, history and a lot more in between. In total we have over fifty different activities at the present time.
Our next monthly talk is on Thursday 14th May when Judy Karbritz presents The Curse of the Kennedys. Judy's talk reveals the haunting saga of America's most famous political dynasty. From plane crashes, assassinations and scandals to political triumphs shadowed by tragedy, she explores why the Kennedy legacy remains as mysterious as it is compelling. Judy Karbritz has broadcast on LBC and BBC local radio and performed in amateur dramatics. She has been giving talks for twenty years, performs locally and regularly speaks on cruise ships.
The venue for this talk is the Broadway Baptist Church, which is wheelchair-accessible and equipped with a hearing loop, and the meeting starts at 2pm.
If you are not currently a member of Chess Valley u3a and would like to sample a Monthly Talk and learn more about us, please come along and you will receive a warm welcome.
Best wishes
James
